First half of 2020

January 01, 2020 - June 30, 2020

In the first half of 2020, We've seen quite a bit of Girl's Day as a group. It took 123 days before we've first seen a glimpse of them together. Yura posted on May 3rd of 2020 that she misses the members and that she wants to meet up with them. I was happy to see Yura still longing for the members. OT4 is life indeed. We may not see them together as much as the past couple of years, we still see them supporting each others individual works, shows and projects. Hyeri & Yura first attended Sojin's play back in 16th of february followed by Minah in the 19th. That was almost an OT4. Yura was with Hyeri again in the 99th & 100th episode of Amazing Saturday back in March 7 & 14. Minah was with Hyeri in the 108th episode of Amazing Saturday back in May 16. Yura posted a picture on 16th of June with Sojin. I'm not sure if Hyeri was with them because she posted a picture of the same place too. A lot of things happened that eventually lead to where it is now.

But the question now is, Who's the busiest among them?

Maybe a tie between Sojin & Hyeri. Sojin started 2020 with a bang by appearing in 6 episodes with a minor role on the drama Stove League. Sojin was also cast in the play Should We Go to Karaoke and Talk. She had shows fom february to march. She's got cast once again in a minor role on the drama The King: Eternal Monarch. She appeared briefly in 5 episodes. Sojin is really on the roll and she constantly audition for roles too. Just last June, she landed a role again in an upcoming drama The Spy Who Loved Me. Hopefully, it's a role with a better screen time since we love to see Sojin more on TV. She was busy filming back in april to may for her movie Zombie Crush in Heyri. It just got released recently during Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Her movie from last year Recipe For Happiness also made into 2-episode TV drama in JTBC drama special time slot back in May. It was a 2 part episode and it really showcased Sojin's acting. She really is indeed a full time actress now but i would love to see her on variety shows more too.

Hyeri is still as popular as ever. She still got CFs and still a fixed cast of a variety show. WOW. Hyeri already appeared in 25 episodes of Amazing Saturday this year. She really fits well as always. Making guests amused with her dancing, her antics and viewers with the way she eats. That's our power celebrity, Hyeri. She got a lot of friends and it always put her on the spotlight with them whenever they interact. Her Reply 1988 impact is still under her shadows. She continues to gain new fans because of it. Fans were so happy to see her reunited with Sung Dong-il & Ra Mi Ran on his newest variety show, House On Wheels. Hyeri appeared for 2 episodes and it was fun. Just last month, Ssangmundong squad gained lots attention when they had a mini reunion. It's been a while since they gathered so the fans are really happy to see them all together. As Reply 1988 continues to gain popularity even after almost 5 years, fans continue to look forward to their individual projects. Just a few days before that, Hyeri & Ryu Junyeol were once again in the center of attention when they were spotted having a bike date.

Minah had a lowkey quiet first half of the year, sort of. Aside from the fact that she uploaded 6 videos on her youtube channel so far this year, She's also been busy on her movie filmings. She's quite active on Instagram too. She is Girl's Day's Instagram queen indeed. She had the most Instagram post, story and even instagram lives so far this year among them. Minah also got featured on a music track. She lend her wonderful vocals on Davii's Trial and Error that also featured Babylon. We should be thankful for the opportunity that we can still listen to Minah's voice from time to time. She still sings a bit on her Instagram lives and most especially during her birthday live stream on youtube. I do miss her on TV. She only appeared on a variety show once. Other than that, Minah is just chilling and living the life to the fullest. That's a good thing. She's always working out. I wish we could see her more on shows. We'll just wait for news about her next project.

Yura also had a quiet year so far. She attended the Biotherm Pop-up Store Opening Event last January. She appeared in 2 episodes of Amazing Saturday and once in Running Man. She also appeared on the drama Find Me In Your Memory. She had a decent screen time and also had the same role. Bitchy Yura really slays and can step on me but that role's gotta go for now. Yura needs a fresh role that people would love. She already had more TV appearance than Minah this year. WOW. The only thing missing would be a movie and also a youtube channel. She was a presenter too in 7th Edaily Culture Awards. Yura lost some weight but she still looked great. Fans will always continue to wait and anticipate her next project this year. Just like Minah, Yura is also living the life. Going on vacations, hanging out with friends and playing with her dogs. There's always a time when opportunity comes.

What to expect in the 2nd half of 2020

For Sojin, We expect to see her on a new drama in October, The Spy Who Loved Me. She opened her youtube channel recently and i hope we get more contents from her since her covers were so good. She said on an interview that "she miss being on stage. However, the members don't really talk about this because it hurts them. She can't promise anything yet because she don’t want to give false hope or draw many attention." She said that "she can only give expectation, but can't tell exactly about comeback. She hopes she can get a good chance someday. She still love music but is planning to slow it down for a bit. Instead, she wants to focus on acting for the time being." In recent news, Sojin will appear on the 14th episode of TVN's On&Off this 1st of August 2020.

Minah's short film A Good Word has been on limited theaters recently. She still has more upcoming films like It's been a long time and The Best Life. Minah said in an interview that "after fulfilling her dream as an idol, she's heading for new chapter in her life, which is acting". She also said that "She wants to do a program that can show her well without edits. For example like Delicious Rendezvous (cooking show)" She also wants to challenge herself to read more and walk (improve) for a long time.

There's nothing known about Yura's next step. Though she said in an interview that "she wants to focus more on developing herself. She wants to learn many things like english, acting & golf. She's trying hard to show various traits of herself as an actress and also show the best of herself in different areas. Her goal is to become an artist who is loved in various fields. She want people to be in a good mood and get positive vibes when they see her" She also hopes to be healthy and work hard without getting sick. Yura said that "she also misses the fans and telling us to wait a little more. She's grateful to our support and patience."

For Hyeri, She'll have her vlogs & Amazing Saturday to continue entertaining us. She said "she'll add more health & beauty related content too." She's considering also a lead role offer for a webtoon based drama Frightening Cohabitation. She's still considering if she'll take it. She'll also have some sort of activity in October 29 this year because it's her 10 years anniversary since debut. More interaction with Blackpink Rose and expanding her circle of friends. She really is our Power Celebrity.
